Wide Films Lever Packer
Simpsonville, SC 29681
The Packer will assist in the production of the mono layer and multi-layer film formulations and achieving the Films Extrusion Department’s production goals’ and objectives.
Works with the Wide Films lever operator to package finished rolls off of the lever.
Makes boxes as needed for the wide films lever orders, stock supplies in the WF lever area and work with supply depot to ensure pallets, boxes, cradles and other packaging supplies are available in the specified storage areas at the lever when needed.
Measures rolls and verify that all rolls are properly labeled and palletized.
Assures correct pallet ID is attached to each pallet.
Assists the lever operator in small repairs and trouble shooting.
Visually inspect rolls and notify the operator if defects are detected. Properly label and segregate scrap and notify forklift driver when scrap needs to be removed.
Actively participates in the High Performance Work Teams while taking on a resource roles for one of the responsible areas: Quality, Customer Service, Human Resources, EHS/PFS, Lean/20 Keys, Process Improvement, TPM and Training.
Has no formal managerial responsibility, but may provide guidance to colleagues (e.g., provides coaching, assigns work, provides input into hiring decisions and evaluating performance).
Perform all duties as directed by management.
High School Diploma or GED
0-3 years’ experience.
Flexibility within a high performance work environment.
Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
Able to work without close supervision.
Able to follow instructions and make decisions based on data obtained.
