Water Treatment Plant Operator
Job Description
Pay: $28.50- $35.50 per hour DOE
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
Grade III License required within 24 months
Preferred
Trade school education in engineering technology
Knowledge of mechanical equipment used in water/wastewater treatment plants
Experience with computer systems such as SCADA, HACH WIMS, Maintenance Connection, and Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
Follow regulatory requirements and WTP SOPs
Complete maintenance tasks and maintain records
Diagnose operating issues and assist with repairs and maintenance
Read blueprints, plans, and technical drawings
Assist supervisors with reporting, scheduling, and plant operations
Maintain OSHA and site safety standards
Perform additional duties as needed
Pay & Schedule
Night Shift: Thurs–Sat 7pm–7am + every other Wed
Short week: 36 hrs | Long week: 48 hrs (8 hrs OT)
