Job Description

Pay: $23.00 per hour DOE
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Prior experience in water and/or sewer systems preferred
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to obtain Class "C" license in wastewater collection systems from an approved vendor of the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation within 2 years of employment.
Ability to obtain, within one (1) year of employment, a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake and tanker endorsements.
Responsibilities:
Performs work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection systems. Operates heavy equipment including a backhoe, front loader, and Vac Con truck in order to perform various maintenance tasks. Checks lift stations and other related equipment. Service Workers complete repairs to wastewater system. Performs general maintenance duties and complete work orders with computer. Performs other related duties as assigned. Position is subject to emergency call-outs and must be able to work overtime including nights, weekends, holidays, during inclement weather and stand-by as required.
