Job Description
HKA is working on behalf of Jacobs and this role is to support Jacobs’ work through HKA.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects machines, engines, and troubleshooting reported problems in a timely manner.
- Performs preventative maintenance aiming for maximum equipment reliability.
- Cleans and greases facility equipment such as - backhoe, skid steer, grader, dump truck, and sweeper per the manufacturer's recommendations.
- Provide consultation on corrective maintenance and preventative measures to vehicle / machine operators.
- Keeps logs of work performed.
- Undertake other duties assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable means of transportation to and from the facility.
- Proven experience as an auto and diesel mechanic.
- Knowledge of diesel-powered equipment and hydraulic systems.
- Aptitude in using various hand tools (screw drivers, hammers, rachets etc.).
- Ability to follow established procedures and read equipment manuals.
- Good communication skills.
- Problem solving ability.
- Welding experience.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
