Job Summary
Pay: $25.00 per hour
We are seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to support the operation and maintenance of a municipal wastewater facility in Walla Walla, WA. This role is responsible for monitoring plant operations, performing maintenance, collecting samples, and ensuring treatment processes operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems and equipment
Inspect and maintain pumps, valves, motors, and related equipment
Collect samples and perform basic laboratory testing
Monitor SCADA systems, gauges, and meter readings
Adjust treatment processes and troubleshoot operational issues
Maintain shift logs, reports, and operational records
Enter data into maintenance and reporting systems
Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
Active Washington State Level I Wastewater Operator License or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months
Valid driver’s license
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Knowledge of safe work practices
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with pumps or mechanical equipment
Class B CDL for biosolids application
Experience with SCADA systems and plant PLCs
Experience operating water or wastewater treatment facilities
