Job Summary
Pay: $22.00 per hour
We are seeking a Wastewater Operator-in-Training to support the operation and maintenance of a municipal wastewater treatment facility in Walla Walla, WA. This role assists with monitoring treatment processes, maintaining equipment, collecting samples, and performing routine maintenance to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with operation and monitoring of wastewater treatment systems
Record meter readings, operating data, and shift logs
Collect water and wastewater samples for testing
Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment
Monitor pumps, valves, motors, and treatment systems
Enter data into maintenance and reporting systems
Follow all safety procedures and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
Valid driver’s license
Basic knowledge of water or wastewater treatment operations
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to enter data into a maintenance management system
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with pumps or mechanical equipment
Working toward or currently holding a water/wastewater operator certification
Basic knowledge of plant equipment, valves, and motors
Understanding of safe work practices
