Mechanic in Training - Wastewater treatment

Job Description

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE

Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintenance and repair of lift stations, pumps, motors, and other wastewater equipment

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and routine cleaning

  • Help troubleshoot equipment issues and replace parts such as bearings, packing, and valves

  • Assist with electrical maintenance and motor repairs

  • Maintain lift station facilities and housekeeping

  • Complete work orders and maintenance records

  • Participate in weekly rotating on-call duty, including weekends and holidays

  • Follow all safety procedures and pre-task planning requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Construction or mechanical experience preferred

  • Ability to obtain a Class “C” Wastewater Collection Systems License within 1 year

  • Ability to work in industrial environments and perform physical labor
