Wastewater Operator in Training
Job Description
We’re seeking a Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator (Entry-Level) to support daily operations and maintenance of treatment facilities. This role involves monitoring systems, collecting samples, performing basic lab tests, and assisting with equipment maintenance.
Great opportunity for someone starting their career in the water/wastewater industry or working toward certification.
Pay: $23.00- $25.00 per hour DOEKey Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor water/wastewater treatment processes
- Control flow using pumps, valves, and control systems
- Record readings and maintain shift logs
- Collect samples and perform routine lab testing
- Identify and report system abnormalities
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning duties
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of pumps, motors, and treatment equipment
- Basic understanding of biological and chemical processes
- Familiarity with safe work practices
- Interest in obtaining water/wastewater certification
