Subcontract Procurement Consultant

Occasional travel and temporary relocation from six weeks up to one year may be required as projects are being executed regionally and nationally.
The Subcontract Procurement Consultant supports the project team in the assembly of requests for proposal (RFPs).
Evaluates RFPs on the basis of meeting project objectives on the basis of technical, quality, and cost objectives.
Coordinates resources to achieve project goals.
Interacts with clients and vendors/subcontractors on assigned projects and promotes positive relationships.
Special projects as assigned.
Develops working knowledge of prime contract requirements and applies knowledge to project activities.
Issues subcontracts to winning bidders
Supports the project team through monitoring subcontractor performance and adherence to subcontract requirements
Coordinates subcontractor RFI submittals through the document control process through the transmittal of responses
Evaluates and coordinates the change order process for approved subcontracts
Supports the financial group in review of subcontractor invoices to ensure invoices are in compliance with subcontract requirements
Develops a thorough understanding of contractually required technical and quality requirements in design and construction and supports quality assurance and engineering for the project.
Coordinates subcontractor related nonconformance’s including any applicable back charges
Communicates any official subcontract required “Notices”
Supports the team in the preparation of subcontract, purchase order and change control documentation and related financial documentation.
Supports the project team in the evaluation of vendor and subcontractor invoices.
Works with document control to ensure that all project documents are distributed, reviewed and stored to meet project and corporate requirements.
Project documents include records of communications, design documents, bid packages and addenda and bulletins thereto, and submittal's, among others.
Supports the project team in ensuring compliance of project activities with legal and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, construction management or a related discipline; or an equivalent technical degree.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in business, accounting, finance, engineering, construction management or a related discipline.
Experience in the life sciences and design build industry are preferred.
Must have construction subcontracts administration experience including expertise with bid package documentation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and selection processes.
