Job Description

Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the University of Florida Auxiliary Boilers Project. This role serves as the Owner’s Engineer, providing technical oversight from design through construction and project closeout. Part-time, hybrid role (Crystal River + Gainesville, FL).

Pay: $87.00-$97.00 per hour DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications
  • Support bid reviews and procurement processes
  • Act as Owner’s Engineer throughout project lifecycle
  • Review RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation
  • Support constructability and field engineering reviews
  • Collaborate with Architect/Engineer teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 15+ years of experience in power plant engineering & construction
  • Strong experience in design review and project oversight
  • Ability to work hybrid and adapt to variable part-time schedule
