Sanitation Worker

Job Description

Position Summary

Works as part of a sanitation collection team on a residential trash route. Rides on the back of the truck, collects and loads waste, and assists with basic vehicle inspections. This position is 100% outdoors in Florida weather conditions.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Valid Driver’s License or Florida State ID

  • Must pass background and drug screening

  • Steel toe or composite boots required (must provide until permanent hire)

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs continuously

  • Able to work in extreme heat and inclement weather

  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, climb, and carry throughout shift

  • Strong attendance and punctuality required

  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work as part of a team

Working Conditions

  • 100% outdoor work environment

  • Safety-sensitive position

  • Exposure to heat, rain, and other outdoor elements

  • Mandatory use of safety equipment

Additional Information

  • Attendance and performance reviewed during first 90 days

  • Opportunity for permanent hire and pay increase after evaluation

  • No call/no show will result in immediate termination
