Job Summary

Pay: $15.00 per hour

We are hiring Sanitation Workers to support daily waste collection operations. This role involves working as part of a collection crew on an assigned route, loading refuse into collection trucks, and ensuring materials are handled safely and properly.

This position is 100% outdoors, physically demanding, and requires dependable attendance. Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions and follow strict safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect trash, recyclables, and waste materials along assigned routes.

• Load materials into collection trucks safely and efficiently.

• Tag improperly sorted, damaged, or oversized containers as required.

• Ride on the rear of the collection truck during routes.

• Follow all safety rules, OSHA regulations, and hazardous waste handling procedures.

• Wear required PPE at all times, including steel-toed boots.

• Maintain teamwork and communication with drivers and crew members.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Required)

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID

• Ability to pass background check and drug screening

• Steel-toed boots required and must be worn daily

• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more repeatedly throughout the shift

• Ability to carry, push, pull, bend, reach, climb, and walk for extended periods

• Ability to work in inclement weather (heat, rain, cold, humidity)

• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and instructions

• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to work collaboratively

• Reliable attendance is mandatory
  (No-call, no-show may result in immediate termination)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous sanitation, waste collection, construction, warehouse, or outdoor labor experience

• Familiarity with safety-sensitive or physically demanding roles
  (Experience is a plus, not required)
