We are seeking a Sanitation Driver / Laborer to join a 2-person crew responsible for waste collection and transportation on assigned routes. This role involves both driving and physically collecting waste, requiring strong teamwork and reliability.
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a commercial truck on designated routes
- Collect and load residential waste (ride on back of truck)
- Alternate between driving and labor duties with team member
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Follow all safety and OSHA regulations
- Interact professionally with the public
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL and current DOT medical card
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience (within last 5 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must pass background and drug screening
- Strong attendance and reliability required
Important Notes
- This role is 100% outdoors and physically demanding
- Requires both driving and manual labor (no exceptions)
- Must wear steel-toed boots and PPE
- Contract-to-hire opportunity after 90 days based on performance
