CTSC Repair Process & Production Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Becoming a technical owner of various manufacturing processes in the Connecticut Stators and Components (CTSC) business unit, supporting some of the fastest growing profit & loss repair cells within East Hartford Repair Operations (EHRO).
  • Leading new repair development and continuous process improvements.
  • Driving on-time delivery and profitability improvements in the business.
  • Providing technical support daily to the shop floor to support daily shipments, unplanned machine downtime, or other challenges that arise during the repair process.
  • Developing and enforcing standardized engineering practices, processes, tools and methods across products under your ownership.
  • Managing projects and leading business progress, lean manufacturing, project management, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Selecting and introducing new capital equipment to improve cell business metrics.
  • Support daily WIP control, process flow optimization, and business unit performance reviews to improve cell business metrics such as turn-around-time (TAT) and on-time-delivery (OTD).


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior manufacturing experience, or a HS Diploma and 5 years of prior manufacturing experience
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience in shop floor processes highly preferred: Machining, inspection, peening, thermal plasma spray, water jet stripping, tool design, etc.
  • Aerospace experience
  • Lean manufacturing experience, Green Belt certification, or RedX training
  • Experience in SAP
  • Experience writing, approving, and issuing work instructions within Solumina environment.

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
