Client Title: Quality Specialist - Returnable Container Management
Hours: 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM w/ a 40 min lunch
Days: Monday-Friday
Term of Contract: Long-term/ongoing with no end date
Pay Range OR Rate: USD 38.28-USD 52.00
PTO, Sick Pay, and Holiday Pay are offered.

Job Requirements

Position Scope:
Ensures process quality and adherence with regard to returnable container management processes. Audits suppliers, identifies improvement requirements, and follows up on their implementation.

Position Responsibilities:
Reviews returnable container management processes and process adherence at suppliers.
Identifies process deviations & misuse and defines corrective actions.
Actively engages and challenges suppliers regarding container management processes.
Penalizes suppliers for container misuse and justifies and/or defends penalties.
Coaches suppliers and other stakeholders in container management processes and standards.
Performs and documents audits; follows up on identified deliverables.-Escalates where necessary.
Identifies and recognizes implications of container process adherence to other logistics processes and to inbound supply.
Interacts with both external and internal interfaces with a focus on returnable container management and policies.
Engages in key container steering activities.
Represents Client in high-stress production critical situations.
Examples:
• Supplier caused production to stop at Client,
• Air freight {daily/hourly),
• Quality issues, logistics failures, supply chain failures, natural disasters, labor issues, and priority issues. Ensures that Client has a higher priority than other OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
Represents Client and maintains professional relationships with suppliers, especially in high-stress situations.
Establishes working networks with peers and management to ensure assignment effectiveness.
Provides transparency via assigning measures to suppliers, by maintaining a list of open points, and creating PowerPoint presentations.
Organizes effective meetings, provides directions, and follows through to ensure measures are met.
In the event of micro-management or an emergency, may be required to assume supplier logistics tasks: Logistics Planning, Production Planning, Material Control, Inventory Analyst, Logistics Manager, or any other Logistics task as delegated by the Section Manager
Self-directed to carry out assigned project responsibilities and meet all deliverables within the designated deadlines.
Performs other duties as assigned by Client Operations Supervisor.

Education:
BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Psychology or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in the related area preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Experience:
4+ years’ experience in Logistics to include issue resolution in the following areas: Returnable container management.
Supply Chain Planning,
Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Material Control, Production Control, Warehouse Operations, Transportation
Advanced = on-site experience steering Logistics improvements at Suppliers, while developing successful working relationships under stressful conditions.
Advanced = experience with Client Supplier qualification tool RGA/RMT, LOPA, and Client Launch teams.
Advanced = knowledge of the following systems: SAP, SCQ Ample, LPKM, GIS, and company 828.
Advanced = experience with Wrong Delivery Mislabeling analysis and issue resolution at Suppliers including the L­ FMEA approach.
Advanced = experience interacting in the extended logistics cross-section function within Client Group and other plants.
Advanced = Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel application knowledge

Travel: 90 percent to suppliers, local and non-local, and 10 percent onsite at the plant.
