Quality Inspector – Aerospace

We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of aerospace parts throughout the production lifecycle. You'll work with precision measuring instruments, interpret engineering blueprints, apply GD&T principles, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain the highest quality standards.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of aerospace parts throughout the production lifecycle. You'll work with precision measuring instruments, interpret engineering blueprints, apply GD&T principles, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain the highest quality standards.
What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished aerospace parts against design specifications
- Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments — micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and bore gauges
- Assess part acceptability, approve conforming parts, and quarantine non-conforming items with documented NCRs
- Interpret detailed engineering blueprints and technical drawings to verify tolerances and critical dimensions
- Apply GD&T symbols and principles to assess complex part geometries for alignment with functional and design intent
- Maintain precise inspection records and complete quality checklists to support audit readiness
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify issues and propose improvements
What you need
- Experience performing dimensional inspections in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment
- Proficiency operating precision measuring instruments — micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and bore gauges
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings
- Working knowledge of GD&T principles and symbols
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy
Nice to have
- Experience writing or processing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100
- Experience with CMM operation or advanced metrology equipment
