Job Description
This position will offer a ST pay range of $65-80 per hour depending on experience.
Per diem is offered for non-locals of $140/day for 7 days.
Description:
This position has single point accountability or can possibly be under the general direction of a Sr. Project Manager or Manager of Project Management. The Project Manager II (PM 2) position is responsible for the management, or the assistance of managing, all phases of project planning and execution to ensure all project success factors are met, including but not limited to scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration. In addition, this position is highly involved in the funding management and budgeting of the project / program responsible. This position will lead a project team consisting of assigned individuals from various organizations including project controls, planning, engineering, implementation, maintenance, and/or other resources such as administrative support staff and contingent workers. The Project Manager will be responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures as required.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree
• In addition to required degree, 7 years of prior project related work-related experience
• Proficient in project management principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience managing projects typically classified as “White”, “Green”, or “Brown” by the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix
• BS degree in Engineering, Contruction Management or Business
• Advanced degree: MBA, MS in Project Management, Engineering, MS in Construction Management or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of project cost management and scheduling
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• Ability to manage projects in the $5M-100M+ range
• PMI (PMP) / CMII / AACE / Utility Technical Certifications
• Contractor’s License
• Professional Engineer License and/or PMP certification
• Utility Experience
• Construction Management knowledge
• Expertise to Strong Expertise in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving
• Project related work experience
• Risk Management
• Leadership
• Employee Management/Development
• Oversight
