Project Manager
Job Description
Perform Project Management responsibilities to support the Grid Integration Projects and Initiatives workgroup. Workgroup manages traditional, agile, and hybrid projects for the enterprise.
This position is a hybrid role with expectation of 2-3 office days/week in one of three office headquarter buildings (Charlotte NC, Raleigh NC, St Petersburg FL).
Project Management tasks could include, but are not limited to:
• Develop monthly project reports and updates according to Program schedule(s)
• Support monthly performance reporting and KPIs
• Manage cost, schedule, scope of projects to meet program and department requirements
• Coordinate and Collaborate with other PMs, Business SMEs, and Project Leads
• Develop Class 3 estimates for multiple projects
• Draft Program Regular Funding Package
• Work with Project Controls specialist on Project/Milestone development for future projects
• Lead review/edits of department procedures in the fall
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience. Graduation from a two-year college or university.
- Working knowledge of project management principles.
- Working Knowledge to Proficiency in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving; Project related work experience; Risk Management; Project Leadership; Proven Collaborative Team Member.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduation from a four-year college or university.
- Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMI (PMP or CAPM) Certification; CMII certificates; Professional Engineer License.
- Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls.
- Experience in utility industry.
- Knowledge in construction management.
