Hybrid role, Charlotte, Asheville, Greensboro areas preferred
This position (PM Specialist) is a Project Management career path entry level position. The primary responsibility of this role will be to assist Project Managers in meeting project management standards and policy requirements. Typical project documents involved include project plans, risk assessments, schedules, estimates, funding requests, and other project artifacts.
Responsibilities will include developing/assist in the development of required documents, compiling and submitting documents for management review, and archiving approved documents. This position will work daily with other project managers on a variety of distribution projects. Secondary responsibilities for this role will include assisting in the financial closeout of completed projects, assisting in change control process, and assisting in information requests regarding project status.
Growth opportunities in this role will include:
- Routine interaction with multiple project managers
- Exposure of Project Management standards and process
- Attending project team meetings
- Interact with Project Controls organization (cost analyst, project schedulers)
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience.
- 2 year degree.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic project management principles.
- Project related work/school experience
- Demonstrated to Working Knowledge in Project Management
- Decision Making
- Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving
- Collaborative Team Member
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduation from a four-year college or university.
- Utility Technical Certifications/Training or PMI (PMP or CAPM) Certification; CMII certificates.
- Demonstrated to Working knowledge in project related Scheduling / Cost Controls.
