Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the quality, timeliness, and consistency of Process deliverables as assigned by the project
• Recognize and manage change in scope according to the project change management procedure
• Perform administrative duties as needed for the process group such as scheduling coordination meeting, meeting minutes, etc. as required
• Coordinate with process technology suppliers for delivery of first-of-a-kind carbon reduction projects
• Performs routine aspects of engineering requiring knowledge and application of standard engineering principles
• Performs calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial and commercial applications under the supervision of an experienced engineer
• Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects
• Become familiar with the client's expectations, overall scope, and schedule for assigned work
• Maintains effective communication with project management and team members
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• May provide operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in-field support
• May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
• Process knowledge in utility systems such as material handling, biomass boilers, wastewater plants, steam turbines, and general utilities are a plus
• Other duties as assigned

Professional Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biosystems or Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering may also be considered
• Work experience (1-5 years) at an engineering firm is preferred
• Working knowledge in 2D CAD platforms and MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
• Strong writing and communication skills
• The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter with an analytical mind
