HKA is working on behalf of Jacobs and this role is to support Jacobs’ work through HKA.
Position is onsite, must be local to San Jose, CA
As the Process-Mechanical Facilities Design Engineer working on leading semiconductor plants, you will have the chance to design and specify systems for state-of-the-art facilities and tool systems. Working with other members of our team of Jacobs and client staff, you’ll design facility systems to accommodate the installation of new semiconductor manufacturing tools, and in support of new facilities construction and base-build projects. During your time with us, you will also engage with clients and subcontractors as you design mechanical systems including Water Side and Air Side HVAC systems, Process Exhaust, mechanical wet and dry piping systems (all systems). You’ll develop mechanical design construction and specification documents, submitting them for review, as well as do regular field walks, provide engineering consulting to the client, and act as the lead engineer on small to medium projects. Job Requirements
Qualifications
• BS / MS graduate in mechanical discipline from an accredited engineering program
• 3 years of experience with Mechanical Piping, plumbing, HVAC Design in industrial facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing facility design, supporting tool installation projects
• PE, or minimally, ability to obtain within 2 years.
