Preventive Maintenance Technician

Must be available during non-work hours as needed and responds to emergency calls promptly.

  • The Preventive Maintenance Tech performs preventive maintenance per scheduled tasking and makes general mechanical and electrical repairs to various types of material handling equipment.
  • Performs Safety Inspections and corrections that are previously authorized or identifies the piece of equipment needing major safety repairs or rebuilds.
  • Receives instructions from client or Site Lead.
  • Receives & manages CMMS work orders, preventive maintenance records and inspections.
  • Repair and maintain forklifts, pallet jacks, golf carts utilizing necessary tools, following OEM Maintenance Policy and Procedures.
  • Maintain equipment history file system.
  • Inspect, maintain and perform work in, on or under parts of forklifts and other equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
  • High School Diploma required
  • 8-10 years of fleet maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before Site Lead and customers or associates of organization
  • Material handling maintenance
  • Must have own hand tools.
  • Must have basic welding skills required (Oxy / Acetylene, Mig and Arc).
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Valid Fork Lift License
  • Mechanic Certification
  • Hydraulic / Electrical fuel systems experience.
