Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Precast Concrete Inspector to join our team in Hampton, VA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of precast concrete products. This position involves inspecting precast components, conducting tests, and collaborating with various teams to maintain compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Key Responsibilities:
Inspect precast concrete products during production to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards. Conduct tests on materials and finished products, including dimensional, strength, and durability assessments. Document inspection findings, prepare reports, and communicate results to project managers and production teams. Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure that safety protocols are adhered to during all inspection processes. Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices related to precast concrete.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering or a related field is required. Previous experience in concrete inspection or construction quality assurance is preferred. Knowledge of precast concrete production processes and relevant industry standards (e.g., PCI, ASTM). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
