This is a 6+ month assignment
The Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for performing all aspects of project planning and scheduling under minimal supervision.
As part of multi-discipline project teams, the Planner will have Discipline Lead responsibilities to deliver planning and scheduling leadership within the teams.
Will provide technical guidance to less experienced personnel.
Scheduler for Engineering, Procurement and Construction projects
Facilitate multi-company interactive planning sessions
Create and update CPM schedules
Communicate schedule status on a regular basis via formal and informal meetings and reports
Analyze CPM schedules and recommend mitigation and schedule improvement ideas
Interact with engineering and construction personnel to understand and communicate issues and conflicts that impact the schedule
Coordinate the project's earned value system with schedule updates
Identify and work to mitigate deviations from project plans
BS in Construction, Engineering or other related field is preferred
4-6 years of related experience is required
Expert in Primavera P6 software as a 'hands-on' user required
Experience in engineering and/or construction work process and activity sequence required
Experience in using and understanding earned value progress required
Experience in all phases of home office engineering required
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
Knowledge of Cost Tracking/Forecasting a plus
Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel knowledge is a plus)
Experience in Pulp/Paper and/or Consumer Goods Manufacturing is a plus
EPC or EPCM experience a plus
Occasional Travel required
Must have ability to work out of the Green Bay, WI or Appleton, WI office as necessary
Must have a comprehensive understanding of Project Controls principles, theories, concepts, current industry practices and standards. Must have project planning and scheduling experience in all or most of the following markets; consumer products, pulp & paper, foundry, power & utilities, grains, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, wind tunnels, warehouse data distribution, electronics, chemical, gas & oil.
