Job Description
HKA Construction Services currently has opened a position for Pipe Welders at a shipyard in Newport News, VA. All Applicants are required to have a minimum of 5 years commercial/naval experience to be considered.
Wages:
Up to $50.00/Hr. & $120.00 Per Diem per day.
Required Skills:
Multi Pass. All positions fillet and butt welds using the SMAW Process
Ability to fuse inserts and weld carbon steel, stainless steel and copper nickel pipe using SMAW and GTAW processes.
Ability to mirror weld using the SMAW and STAW processes.
Heating – Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch
Ability to properly use fillet gauges, butt gauges and a six-inch scale.
Performance test Required.
- Must successfully pass a background check & Hair follicle drug test.
- Must be able to work any shift and overtime, if required
