Park Grounds Attendee

HKA is working on behalf of Jacobs and this role is to support Jacobs’ work through HKA.

Eligible for a $1,000 bonus after completion of assignment: 3 months
Schedule: 12pm-9pm Tues-Thurs, Sat-Sun (Off Mondays and Fridays)

Responsibilities:
• Prepare the park and surrounding area for public use.
• Perform the following splash pad maintenance as needed:
o Empty pump strainers
o Check pump, filter and fountain heads operations
o Remove debris from the fountain basin
o Perform water-quality checks, up to three (3) daily. Log all results as required.
o Report any issues to the Maintenance Services Supervisor.
• Empty all park trash cans as needed. Inspect trash levels to ensure litter does not overflow from the cans.
• Perform walk-around inspection of the park and parking lots to identify litter, unsafe situations, etc. Pick up litter and perform other cleanup duties as needed. Inform the Maintenance Services Supervisor of any issues needing attention.
• Sweep walkways and hard surfaces to remove sand, bark and other debris as needed.
• Politely and respectfully provide assistance to park patrons as needed, including documenting and responding to park patrons concerns and complaints.
• Perform spot checks of the public restrooms. Clean dirty floors with a wet mop and remove trash as needed.
• Wash down tables and seats in the pavilions and shelters as needed.
• Provide support for City of Centennial special events as needed.
• Be familiar with park rules.
• Perform basic computer operations for report and record keeping as needed.
• Performs other duties and special assignments as required or assigned.

Qualifications:
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must pass Jacobs drug testing and background checks
• Must enjoy working with people
• Must be have effective verbal communication skills
• Must enjoy working outdoors.
