Pin-Point Solutions is hiring a Plant Manager
The Site Manager will direct manufacturing operations to safely produce quality products at the lowest cost to meet or exceed customer requirements.
Achieve these results through and with associates assigned to and supporting manufacturing.
Develop and ensure attainment of a formal people plan, including training courses, for all plant employees that is connected to their individual and company development needs.
Develop and maintain a plant succession plan
Ensure discretionary increases have appropriate differentiation tied to annual performance
Initiate a plant staff meeting to effectively communication timely and critical information plus ensure align of activities. This is to include a monthly report.
Ensure timely and effective plant communications through various means, e.g. staff meetings, safety meetings, Gemba walks, etc.
Develop and maintain a Performance Log to drive personal development with biannual updates
Lead plant housekeeping using 5S methodology
Ensure compliance with all OHSA and company safety, health and environmental standards.
Lead continuous improvement in safety using a combination of behavior based and process safety techniques with a goal of zero recordable incidents
Ensure all recordable/reportable injuries, near misses and environmental upsets are investigated using a root cause methodology and ensure all corrective actions are completed in a timely manner.
Support ISO 14001 and/or environmental objectives focusing on annual goal attainment
Verify all safety, environmental and health policies and procedures are strictly followed by all plant employees, e.g. Hot Work and Management of Change
Lead the development and management of the annual budget with actions/plans identified to achieve stretch targets
Ensure raw material and yield variances are investigated.
Ensure any obsolete and excess inventory are eliminated and its future generation is controlled through careful production planning and evaluation of aging stocks in conjunction with Supply Chain.
Lead continuous improvements in labor and manufacturing unit costs, quality and productivity through Lean, Six Sigma, ISO-9001 and other CI techniques/methodologies
Ensure accurate and timely perpetual inventory balances in the site’s ERP system.
Ensure execution of capital projects per plans including timing and budget.
Lead the development of a project pipeline in conjunction with the plant engineer and department managers that is tied to the delivery of the division’s long plans in top line growth, margin management, operational efficiency and environmental compliance.
Execute specific actions/plans identified to achieve stretch targets in support of the annual budgets.
Ensure all customer shipments are defect free finished goods and packaging
Lead successful resolution of all customer complaints using a root cause analyses to prevent future occurrences
Ensure process management to deliver 100% on-time and in full orders to all customers.
Work with process engineering and technical teams to develop, trial and launch new and innovative products and/or processes
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering or Mechanical engineering.
10 years of prior manufacturing management experience.
Expertise regarding factory lay-out, routing, material handling, internal transport, Lean Continuous Improvement.
