Mechanic – Water Treatment Facility
Onsite – The Villages, FL
Pay: $24/hr
Our client is seeking a Mechanic to support maintenance operations at a water treatment facility in The Villages, FL. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with mechanical experience who thrives in a team-oriented, operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on water treatment plants and related equipment
- Maintain buildings, structures, grounds, machinery, and facility systems
- Inspect, lubricate, and troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve issues
- Replace packing in pumps and valves
- Replace bearings in motors, pumps, and other mechanical equipment
- Support uninterrupted facility operations through efficient maintenance practices
- Collaborate with team members to address maintenance challenges and improve performance
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair
- Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
