ROLE SUMMARY

Teaming with other members of the Maintenance and Partner organizations, the Reliability Maintenance Technician (RMT) creates and maintains all Equipment ID, hierarchies, and PM schedules in the CMMS system.  They manage various maintenance driven changes, collect data and assure proper documentation and approvals. The RMT also ensures drawing integrity through redlines and updates to the appropriate documentation control.  This role provides technical support to all maintenance, engineering, and regulatory related positions, and builds good working relationships with colleagues at all levels in all departments/lines.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In order of importance, indicate the primary responsibilities critical to the performance of the role.  It is recommended not to list actual tasks but focus on 5-8 essential responsibilities that highlight accountability and level of judgment required.
  • Establish optimized preventive maintenance schedules, tasks, spare parts and SOPs.
  • Establish new position identification and position hierarchical relationships. Capture all relevant position nameplate data and calibration parameters
  • Manage various maintenance driven changes, collect data and assure proper documentation and approvals (DACs, QTS, etc.).
  • Provide technical support to all maintenance, engineering, and regulatory related positions. Act as a liaison, builds good working relationships with colleagues at all levels in all departments/lines.
  • Work closely with all maintenance and engineering positions to identify maintenance inefficiencies and develop streamlined work practices.
  • Ensures drawing integrity through redline and updates to the appropriate documentation Control.
  • Provide proper documentation for impact assessments, periodic reviews and changes to CMMS.
  • Initiate 3i (Incident Database) reports for GMP non-compliance issues.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Indicate qualifications that are job related, consistent with business necessity and necessary for the performance of an essential function of this role including:
  • education/licenses/certifications, relevant experience (where legally permissible), technical and/or other job-related skills.
  • Education: High school diploma / general education degree (GED) required.
  • Comprehensive, advanced, broad or in-depth specialized technical, manufacturing, or maintenance skills giving additional depth to a functional, cross and/or multifunctional element. 
  • Trained and proficient with a number of software systems including CMMS, appropriate CAD systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of three years’ experience in a CMMS system while working within a maintenance related environment. 
  • Skills with computer software applications (i.e. MS Excel and Word).
  • Demonstrated skills with CMMS reporting applications (i.e. Cognos – Data Warehouse).

Certificates, Licenses or Registrations: None.

  • Language Skills: English, technical knowledge and writing
  • Mathematical Skills: Being able to solve problems, skilled in a broad range of mathematical technique.
  • Reasoning Ability: Use judgment to determine which work methods and procedures are appropriate in a variety of different situations.
  • Able to independently handle situations and process work.
  • General knowledge of FDA, EPA, PSM, GMP and client policies and procedures is required.
