Pin-Point Solutions is hiring a Machining Manager

Job Description:

The Manager will successfully manage the activities of the machine shop working on strategic direction, operating execution and management of the production, engineering and quality teams.  

Key deliverables will include delivering parts on time and within cost targets with world class quality.  

Will help identify and lead initiatives such as cost savings and delivery and quality improvements.

 Deliver safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost targets for the machining business

 Annual planning, budgeting and execution of the machining operating plans

 Optimize machining operations and capacity utilization

 Manage and develop machining supervisors, machining engineers and quality engineers


Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or 8-10 years of relevant machining experience

3+ years of previous leadership experience required

Must be detailed-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills. 

Will have a proven ability to lead a dynamic Machining team.

Demonstrated competencies with machining metrology including calibration and measurement processes and GD&T

Knowledgeable of CNC machining and conventional machining and fabrication

Proficient at AutoCAD and/or Solidworks and Microsoft Office Suite

Strong interpersonal skills to work across organizations in a matrix structure

Problem solving abilities and use of analytical thinking

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize and organize tasks required to manage projects

Ability to influence, change management skills

Previous experience working in a union environment preferred

Previous experience working as a machinist or toolmaker is preferred
