HKA is working on behalf of Jacobs, and this role is to support Jacobs’ work through HKA
Intermediate Level Machine Designer
Working Remotely but client has offices that they could work in. (Appleton, Wisconsin and Greenville, South Carolina.)
Training and Experience:
Pay:$55.00- $95.00 per hour DOE
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training and/or certifications, as needed; has some prior on-the-job experience; requires analytical or technical skills in designated machine design discipline
- Associates degree in Mechanical Design or related field with adequate related CAD drafting training in Parametric 3D modelling.
- 2-4 years of experience recommended, drafting/design
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficient Inventor Skills ( or secondary SolidWorks)
Nature of Work
- Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within designated technical discipline; works within standard operating procedures and/or analytical methods
- Requires some understanding of Manufacturing Practices and material selection
- Preparing engineering drawings from rough stretches, layouts, models, or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures
- Work is typically comprised of generating detailed drawings for more senior designers or engineers with Inventor
- Performs basic CAD drafting utilizing client and industry standards for detail drawings
- Performs basic straightforward designs
- Performs some clerical duties
Level of Supervision
·Works with a moderate degree of supervision
Duration of Assignment
·3 months but expectation of longer duration or possible full-time hire possible later.
