Position Purpose/Scope:
Performs planning of logistics site operations, autonomous and electrified transportation systems
Position Responsibilities:
Manages strategic planning and reporting.
Performs conception of innovative and autonomous site transportation systems and electrified trailer solutions.
Performs Logistics site transportation planning, Long Term Investment Planning (LIP), and analysis of infrastructure requirements for the realization phase.
Works independently in leading logistics innovation projects.
Investigates, improves, and stabilizes overall logistics site processes in support of company targets.
Performs technical and financial evaluations to support the tendering process of site transportation solutions.
Conducts feasibility and capability studies of the autonomous trailer solutions and develops C02 footprint KPIs for future site transportation concepts.
Investigates the options for the fleet maintenance setups including infrastructure and required equipment.
Supports the tendering process of the autonomous trailer systems, analyzes, and monitors the pilot phases, and represents logistics in the technical release of the vendors and their offers.
Leads the enabling process of the selected vendors and the onboarding phase of the new transport system and reports on a regular base the project status to the senior management.
Drives process improvements for optimized site logistics strategy.
Develops methods/methodologies to support the planning process.
Writes decision papers to support the process of structural investment in site logistics.
Performs financial analysis of contracts with logistics services vendors.
Defines the requirements for the new 5G network for the site innovation solutions and supports IT with data relevant to capacity and vendor selection.
Performs other duties as assigned by the operations supervisor.
Job Requirements
Position Competencies:
Education:
BA/BS degree, preferably with a focus on Logistics or Supply Chain planning or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in the related area in a manufacturing environment.
Experience:
5+ years of related experience to include 3 of the following areas: Logistics operational planning, Transportation planning, Logistics Yard/Site management, or Supply Chain structural planning/operations.
2+ years of supervisory/project leadership
Intermediate = Ability to work effectively in teams
Intermediate = MS Office application skills
Intermediate = presentational skills.
Intermediate = communication and interpersonal skills, ability to foster networks and partnerships, and good working
knowledge of information and computer technologies.
Intermediate = analytical skills and judgment.
Intermediate = ability to lead strategic planning, change processes, results-based management, and reporting.
Fluency (written & spoken) in English language skills; German preferred but not required
Intermediate = ability to lead formulation, oversight of implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of development
projects.
Travel:
10% for training
