Job Description:

The Industrial and Controls Tech interprets and works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans and technical documents

Performs the calibration and repair of all flow metering devices

Recommends control system modifications with documented justification that will result in standard utilization of parts and materials and will reduce operating and repair costs

Establishes and enforces uniform electrical repair safety procedures at all plant sites

Makes modifications to as-built electrical drawings based on system modifications and updates all electrical component equipment history files

Establishes and maintains scheduled control system maintenance and calibration programs for plant equipment

Directs the work of electrical subcontractors and all outside control system repair work

Maintains record keeping associated with all electrical repairs and modifications

Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:

High school or GED equivalent

3 years’ experience in a Lead position as an Industrial and Control Technician in a water/wastewater facility

6 years’ experience with knowledge of the maintenance, repair and calibration of electrical control systems

Knowledge of the methods, materials, equipment and instruments used in the maintenance, repair and calibration of electrical and electronic control systems

Knowledge of the principle and practices of an effective control system preventive maintenance program, safe work practices, and related state and federal laws and regulations

Possess a valid driver’s license
