Location: Cape Canaveral, FL (with transition to Columbia, SC)
We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Journeyman Underground Electrical Helper to join our team. This position will initially be based in Cape Canaveral, FL, with transition to a project in Columbia, SC. The successful candidate will assist with various underground electrical tasks, including cable pulling, duct back installation, shoveling, and general support for the electrical team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 2-3 years of underground electrical experience who are looking to further develop their skills and advance their career in the electrical construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with underground electrical installations, including cable pulling, conduit placement, and duct back installation.
- Operate power tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving as needed.
- Travel to project sites as required, including potential overnight stays.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Provide support and assistance to other trades and contractors as necessary.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in underground electrical work.
- Familiarity with cable pulling techniques and equipment.
- Experience with duct back installation preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site at various project locations.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Hotel will be paid for and $37/day food allowance
