Industrial Master Electrician
Job Description
Pay: $40.00- $42.00 per hour DOE
Location: Greensburg, IN
Position Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Master Electrician to support facility electrical systems within a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on facilities maintenance role, requiring strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and the ability to work across multiple disciplines. This position is not residential and requires high-voltage experience.
Key Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility electrical distribution systems, lighting, and equipment
Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), inspections, and equipment checks
Diagnose and repair electrical systems including motors, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, breakers, panels, and substations
Read and interpret electrical one-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Install conduit, wiring, and power supply systems for equipment and machinery
Troubleshoot control circuits, PLCs, motor controls, and BMS systems
Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, sensors, switches, and motors
Support other trades and assist with general facility maintenance as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all safety and PPE requirements
Work safely around high-voltage systems using NFPA 70E standards
Required Qualifications
Master Electrician (Industrial experience required)
High-voltage qualified
Completed electrical apprenticeship or certified technical school; Journeyman status required
5+ years of electrical experience; 5–7 years in a manufacturing or industrial facility preferred
Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems:
24V, 120V, 480V, 4160V, 12,470V
Single-phase and three-phase systems
Experience with:
High-voltage switches, substations
MCCs, busway & bus plugs
Transformers, breakers, panels, disconnects
Skilled in using electrical tools and PPE:
Megger, voltmeter, amp clamp
40 cal arc flash suit, gloves
Hot stick, shotgun, grounding equipment
Trained in NFPA 70E
Aerial lift / boom lift certified (or ability to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with motors, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and BMS systems
Familiarity with low-voltage and fire alarm systems
Strong mechanical and plumbing aptitude
Self-starter with ability to prioritize work orders
Willingness to learn and support multiple facility disciplines
Work Environment
Manufacturing / industrial facility
Must wear required PPE and ARC flash protection
Physical role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and working on energized systems
