HVAC Technician 3rd Shift

Job Description
HKA is working on behalf of Jacobs and this role is to support Jacobs’ work through HKA.
Shift: 5pm-5am, rotating shifts
Switch from a 5x12 to a 2x12
Responsibilities
- Performs rounds routinely checking/logging the normal operation and safety of the Data Center Mechanical and Power distribution systems that include Switch Gear, Generators, ATS, PDUs, UPS systems, Battery strings, fire suppression systems, Chillers, Pumps, AHUs, CRAC unites, VAVs, Hot water systems, Cooling towers, etc. Detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, lubrication etc
- Operate BAS system for normal operating condition, alarms, rotate equipment, override schedules, change setpoints
- Respond to alarms and take corrective actions
- Performs assigned preventative/corrective work orders on equipment
- Provides technical information concerning repairs, and maintenance
- Troubleshoot Mechanical, electrical equipment and systems issues, and work collaboratively with the supervisor or other staff members to resolve immediate operational and/or safety concerns
- Keeps records of maintenance up to date
- Coordinates facilities projects with internal resources and vendors
- Assist senior level technicians on small projects as requested
- Keep mechanical and electrical room areas clean
- Obtain a fundamental understanding of building systems
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate from HVAC or electrical technical school, stationary engineer license, Journeyman electrician desired.
- Five years of experience in a similar position or trade preferred.
- Must be willing and previous experience working nights and weekends preferred.
- Must be willing to work holidays that fall on scheduled shifts and have the flexibility to work extra shifts as required by management.
- Ability to climb a ladder and crawl under a raised floor.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Must have knowledge of standard maintenance tools, equipment, and materials.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read schematics, electrical one-line drawings, blueprints, technical manuals, engineering drawings, sequences of operations, MOP's, EOP's, etc.
- Ability to read, understand and follow safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment.
- Willingness to learn and grown in a Data Center type Environment.
