HVAC-R Technician

HKA is working on behalf of Jacobs and this role is to support Jacobs’ work through HKA.
As the HVACR Technician, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services – uninterrupted. Based in Marysville, OH, you’ll you will prioritize repairs and complete required PM’s on facility equipment.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Performs preventative maintenance tasking on all HVACR equipment.
- Starts systems, observes operation, read gauges and instruments, and adjusts mechanisms
- Screws, bolts, rivets, welds, and brazes parts to assemble structural and functional components such as motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring harnesses, valves, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Discuss system malfunctions with users to isolate problems. Installs wiring to connect components to electric power source.
- Lubricates fans, motors, and control units. Replaces defective/worn parts.
- Cuts, threads, gas welds, connects pipe to functional HVACR component systems.
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains equipment.
- Must be able to complete PM and work order activity in CMMS. Following guidance from the client's CMMS and the client's Leadership.
- When requested by the client supervisor, prepare reports, whether on equipment failures, accidents, technical reports, and near misses.
Job Requirements
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HVACR maintenance and repair in a facility/plant environment.
- Driver’s license
- Universal EPA/Refrigerant License.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Experience with the following types of equipment: HVACR, Air Compressors, Pump and Plumbing Maintenance, Basic Electrical and Mechanical Skills are required.
