We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our HR & Payroll Digital Technology Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR and Payroll systems, as well as experience with project management and digital technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with our business and technology teams for the development and implementation of new HR and Payroll applications, enhancements to existing applications, and collaboration with the teams to seek out process improvements as we evolve.
The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, helping to manage the end to end project lifecycle from requirements to development and implementation engagement with our developers and test teams, business partners, and other business analysts and project managers, and occasionally managing small projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes, as well as the ability to work with technical teams to develop and implement solutions.
Expectations:
- Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements
- Communicate with stakeholders to ensure continued alignment on requirements and solutions
- Analyze business needs and identify opportunities for improvement, and support business applications through understanding business processes and their implications and applying process improvement concepts
- Work with technical teams to develop and implement solutions
- Understanding of change management and revision control
- Develop and implement project plans
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Maintain excellent time management and technical data management skills
- Exercise sound judgement in new situations in the absence of specific granular guidelines
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects
- Demonstrate the ability to document processes, knowledge materials, and work documentation
- Maintain excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Build and maintain strong listening, summarizing, facilitating ,and “Bridge Building” skills
- Demonstrate the ability to translate user problems, issues and needs into technical solutions
- Acquire and retain knowledge through study, instruction, or experience
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or a related field, or 5+ years of experience in business analysis or business systems consulting
- 5+ years of experience in HR and payroll systems
- Strong understanding of business processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of digital technologies
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Desired Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in project management
- Experience with project management tools
- Experience with agile development methodologies
