Flux Core Welder
Job Description
Pay: $26–$40/hour
Note: Selected candidates will need to successfully complete a weld test in Magnolia, TX.
About the Role
We're looking for experienced Flux Core Welders to perform welding, fabrication, and repair work using the Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) process. Candidates should be comfortable reading blueprints and welding symbols and performing quality welds in multiple positions.
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of welding experience
- Strong experience with Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and welding symbols
- Experience welding in multiple positions, including 2G, 3G, flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
- Ability to pass weld testing at the start of employment, including 2G and 3G testing
- Ability to inspect welds and identify defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion
- Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS/FCAW certification highly preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including at heights and from a man basket
- Exposure to heat, noise, fumes, and machinery
