This is a 3rd shift position-10PM to 6AM

  • The Tech works under direct supervision of the Fire Protection Superintendent and completes work consistent with NFPA, Georgia fire code, Atlanta fire marshal and client requirements
  • Conducts performance tests on wet, dry, pre-action and deluge systems and records information in INFOR Enterprise Asset Management System or other CMMS/EAM system
  • Properly documents all INFOR work orders in a timely manner including detailed notes of tasks performed with accurate work hours recorded
  • Performs hands-on troubleshooting, testing, inspection, servicing, preventative maintenance and repair on all wet, dry, pre-action and deluge systems, fire pumps, tamper and flow switches, pressure gauges, accelerators and other components of fire suppression system  
  • Provide mentoring to other technicians on the testing, inspection, servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge systems
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience working with low voltage required
  • 5 years related experience in the field of fire suppression required and seven
  • 7 years’ experience preferred
  • Experience working with Notifier or similar systems preferred
  • NICET I certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology in Inspection and Testing of Water-based Systems required
  • NICET II/III certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology in Inspection and Testing of Water-based Systems preferred
  • Has advanced experience with troubleshooting, inspections, performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on wet, dry, pre-action and deluge sprinkler systems and operating test equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of operations of pumps, accelerators, switches, gauges, smoke detector modules and other fire system components
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of fire suppression systems in commercial, institutional or manufacturing setting
  • Familiar with the operational components and electrical systems typical of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire suppression systems
