As a Field Technician specializing in Environmental Restoration Construction, you will play a pivotal role in executing environmentally conscious projects. Your primary responsibility will involve the installation of silk fences, straw surfaces, and the utilization of hand tools, including chainsaws, to support restoration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of Silk Fences: Erecting and maintaining silk fences in accordance with project specifications to prevent erosion and manage sediment control.
- Straw Surface Installation: Executing the application of straw surfaces as per project requirements to aid in soil stabilization and erosion control.
- Hand Tool Operation: Safely and effectively operating hand tools, notably chainsaws, to perform tasks essential to the restoration process.
- Site Maintenance: Assisting in general site maintenance duties, including cleanup, organization, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Documentation: Recording and reporting project progress, issues encountered, and any deviations from outlined procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience: Prior experience in environmental restoration or related construction labor preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in handling hand tools, particularly chainsaws, and familiarity with silk fence and straw surface installation techniques.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel for projects as needed.
- Safety Consciousness: Adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
