Facility Maintenance Technician

Pay:$18.00 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated GPS Technician (Grounds & Preventive Maintenance Technician) to support facility grounds, equipment maintenance, and preventative maintenance activities. This role reports directly to the Water Operations Manager and plays a key role in maintaining safe, clean, and functional company properties.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain all company grounds and surrounding facilities, including mowing, weed eating, spraying, and blowing grass off concrete
Operate tractors and equipment for mowing, tilling, and spraying
Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and client-requested work orders
Assist with general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of equipment, systems, and structures
Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are available and in safe working condition
Transport, secure, and assist with materials and equipment as needed
Coordinate work activities with supervisors and other trades
Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure safe operation
Attend meetings, training sessions, and workshops as required
Follow all safety policies and report hazards to management and safety staff
Work toward obtaining a CDL to operate and transport company equipment
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or similar work
Basic technical knowledge of cell phones and mobile devices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Clean driving record with a valid Florida Driver’s License
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Work performed outdoors and occasionally in office environments
Exposure to airborne particles, chemicals, and varying environmental conditions
Required to wear appropriate PPE as needed
Physical requirements include:
Standing and walking for extended periods
Repeatedly getting in and out of vehicles or equipment
Bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing
Lifting up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 55 lbs occasionally
Operating vehicles, tractors, and equipment safely
Manual dexterity to handle tools, equipment, and maintenance tasks
