Pay:$18.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated GPS Technician (Grounds & Preventive Maintenance Technician) to support facility grounds, equipment maintenance, and preventative maintenance activities. This role reports directly to the Water Operations Manager and plays a key role in maintaining safe, clean, and functional company properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain all company grounds and surrounding facilities, including mowing, weed eating, spraying, and blowing grass off concrete

• Operate tractors and equipment for mowing, tilling, and spraying

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and client-requested work orders

• Assist with general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of equipment, systems, and structures

• Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are available and in safe working condition

• Transport, secure, and assist with materials and equipment as needed

• Coordinate work activities with supervisors and other trades

• Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure safe operation

• Attend meetings, training sessions, and workshops as required

• Follow all safety policies and report hazards to management and safety staff

• Work toward obtaining a CDL to operate and transport company equipment

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proven experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or similar work

• Basic technical knowledge of cell phones and mobile devices

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Clean driving record with a valid Florida Driver’s License

• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Work performed outdoors and occasionally in office environments

• Exposure to airborne particles, chemicals, and varying environmental conditions

• Required to wear appropriate PPE as needed

• Physical requirements include:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods

  • Repeatedly getting in and out of vehicles or equipment

  • Bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing

  • Lifting up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 55 lbs occasionally

  • Operating vehicles, tractors, and equipment safely

  • Manual dexterity to handle tools, equipment, and maintenance tasks
