Facility Electrician II

HKA is working on behalf of Jacobs and this role is to support Jacobs’ work through HKA.

Responsibilities:
As a Facilities Electrician, you’ll join a team of multi-discipline technical experts, ensuring that our clients can deliver their products and services – uninterrupted. We’ll give you the tools to become an expert on the electrical systems that support our client’s operations and keep their people safe.

You’ll contribute to the success of our program with efficient preventive maintenance and effective solutions to complex challenges that may arise in our client’s state of the art facilities. Most importantly, you’ll take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of your team and our planet.

Qualifications:

• Looking for a senior level licensed electrician with 5+years’ experience in an industrial/commercial environment (airport/manufacturing/educational/hospital facilities)
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Comfortable working with high and low voltage (440/220) and working safely within electrical panels
• Varied electrical and mechanical experience, LOTO, NFPA 70E
• Proven understanding of electrical system components and theory
• Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and equipment drawings in a foundry setting
• Experience with troubleshooting electrical issues (safety doors, limit switches, tripped circuit breakers, PLC’s)
• Not looking for a wire puller or someone with residential experience

You’ll grow your expertise to help your team succeed in the safe and time-critical operation, maintenance and repair of mission-essential electrical equipment and components including low voltage and medium voltage systems such as chillers, variable frequency drives (VFD), emergency generators, uninterrupted power supply (UPS), panel boards, branch panels, motor control centers, and related facilities equipment.
