Qualifications:

  • Staff members in this position are responsible for operations and maintenance of building electrical and mechanical systems to ensure environmental conditions meet requirements for ongoing Bank operations, optimal efficiency and staff comfort.
  • They provide support for small construction projects and office space re-configurations, and maintain specialty equipment.
  • Operates and maintains building electrical and mechanical systems equipment, including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air-handling units, and associated components.
  • Maintains and operates automated control systems for the building environmental, lighting, and emergency power systems.
  • Installs and maintains office furniture including modular systems furniture. Installs and maintains security, surveillance and other electronic equipment throughout the facility.
  • Performs locksmith duties such as installing and maintaining locks and related hardware as well as key duplicating.
  • Changes combinations on various automatic locks throughout the building when requested.
  • Maintains dumpster, compactor and disintegrator equipment.
  • Fabricates wooden and metal fixtures such as shelving, carts, counters, cabinets, picture framing and other devices to be used in operations.
  • Install fabricated walls, shelving, lighting fixtures and work station systems.
  • Paints interior and exterior building surfaces.
  • Operate welding equipment, machine shop and wood working tools, and machinery such as lathes, milling machine, drill press, table saw, router and sander.
  • Cross trains other technicians in areas where skills and expertise are superior.
  • Performs emergency shut down procedures when necessary and practices Bank's safety standards at all times.
  • Operates and performs general maintenance on facilities' Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system including the Building Management System (BMS) by performing such duties as inspecting, preventive maintenance, repairing, programming and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Controls and maintains the appropriate temperature and humidity levels.
  • Solves equipment and operational problems requiring specialized training, skills or knowledge. Duties and tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity.
  • Performs analysis on rotating equipment using vibration testing equipment to forecast and minimize break downs and emergency repairs.
  • Uses specialized equipment to test and balance air and water flow in HVAC equipment throughout the building.
  • Operates, repairs and troubleshoots automated vault equipment.
  • Will be required to obtain or possess State or City issued license for operation and/or maintenance of specialized equipment.
  • Will be required to drive bank or personal vehicle in performance of job responsibilities.
  • Supervises the work of subordinates and/or contractors/vendors, or coordinate the workflow of the unit.
  • Assigns, monitors, and prepares work schedules and priorities, and reviews accuracy of and approves completed work.
  • Provides technical guidance on more complex issues.
  • Installs and tests data cable and telephone communication lines within Bank building from source to end user locations.
  • Maintains and operates the building backup power systems including the emergency generators and UPS system.
  • Responsible for performing a lead role in the operations and maintenance of building electrical and mechanical systems to ensure environmental conditions meet requirements for optimal efficiency.
  • Demonstrates leadership ability, leads projects, functions as a Subject Matter Expert and provides System, District, and Local level support as needed.
  • Responsibilities Include: - Leads local facilities and District projects.
  • Viewed as a System and/or District resource and subject matter expert on most if not all commercial building systems.
  • Is highly proficient in operating and maintaining building electrical and mechanical systems equipment, including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air-handling units, and associated components.
  • Well-versed in maintaining and effectively operating automated control systems for the building environment, lighting, emergency power systems, and security systems.
  • Serves in a leadership role in building repair, modification, and relocation projects
  • Five to eight years’ experience Knowledge Areas: - Building Management Systems - Video surveillance/security systems - Retro-commissioning processes - Building electrical and mechanical systems
  • Technical licenses and certification related to the Facilities operations field i.e. Engineering, Electrical, HVAC, Low voltage, Automated controls certifications

  • Education: - High school diploma or GED, Bachelors (or Undergraduate) degree or 4 years equivalent experience preferred, licenses and certifications in related fields
