Facilities Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift
Job Description
2nd shift position. Overtime, weekends, holidays, and weekend coverage rotation required. Must report during harsh weather conditions.
U.S. Citizenship required. Valid driver's license required.
Pay: $24.00- $27.00 per hour DOE
We're looking for an experienced, self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment, and keep our facility running safely and efficiently on 2nd shift. You'll work across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems — responding to equipment downtime, completing work orders in CMMS, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
What you'll do
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment per written instructions — including measurement of wear, replacement of belts, hoses, fluids, and filters, and inspection of speeds, pressures, vacuum, and vibration
- Complete repairs including rebuilding of pumps, valves, electrical and pneumatic solenoid devices, and air handling equipment
- Complete general building repairs — walls, doors, floors, and plumbing (leaks, sinks, piping, valves, drains, toilets)
- Repair and maintain lighting systems; replace lighting components, ceiling tiles, and ceiling grid
- Start, stop, troubleshoot, and maintain all facility equipment; respond to equipment downtime
- Complete all PM and work order activity in CMMS
- Operate scissors lifts, boom lifts, fork trucks, and crane/hoist equipment
- Maintain 5S and COP standards across all work areas — desk, worksite, tools, and facility spaces
What you need
- High school diploma or GED — Vocational/Tech or Trades School preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant facilities maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aptitude
- Ability to use electrical meters, meggers, and amp clamps on 480V and below systems
- Ability to read and interpret system blueprints and specifications
- Ability to operate scissors lift, boom lift, fork truck, and crane/hoist
- Ability to climb ladders, work from heights/roof, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in hot/cold climates
- Willingness to work OT, weekends, holidays, and support weekend coverage rotation
- Intermediate computer skills for CMMS and related software
- U.S. Citizenship and valid driver's license required
