Facilities Maintenance Tech
Golden, CO 80401
The Facilities Maintenance Tech reports to the supervisor and is responsible for addressing trouble calls and performing associated maintenance and repair activities on facilities equipment and basic and complex machines.
Assists engineers and technicians with advanced repairs.
Will work under minimal supervision and some contact with external suppliers and customers.
Assist in the movement of equipment in the facility to support changes in production/facility systems and the installation of new equipment.
Install, repair and maintain electrical motors, pipe systems and plumbing work.
Starts devices to test their performance. Uses manufacture's documentation to identify, diagnose, and correct facility equipment's mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and/or machine logic failures.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.
Facilitate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures comprising buildings. (Not applicable for Oil Room)
Inspect drives, motors and belts following checklists.
Install, repair and maintain pumps and ventilation work.
Support others to maintain air compression equipment, tracking air pressure levels and making adjustments as necessary.
Perform repairs to air lines, coolant systems, and other leaking lines.
Fills plumbing systems and checks for leakage.
Repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools.
Coordinate work with outside contractors and production department supervisors to minimize production impact during major projects or major system repairs.
Assist in the movement of furniture to support office operations.
Perform basic machining by using drill presses or lathes.
Clean tanks, pumps, and lines.
Transport maintenance materials and tools using a forklift or other motorized device.
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
Support others to maintain HVAC equipment and perform associated measurements (e.g., measure PH levels, water condensations, steam pressure).

High School Diploma or GED.
Must be 21 years old or older
5 or more year’s related experience is required.
Must possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver's license.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
