Electrician

Pay: $30.50- $33.80 per hour DOE

This position understands complex electrical AC/DC theory as well as has the ability to follow electrical drawings and schematics in order to apply this knowledge to operate, inspect, and repair equipment and systems. This position applies knowledge of work processes and prior experience to choose correct solutions. Works under close direction from senior Techs to perform assigned duties of a specialized nature. Executes work assignments and assist in other Technicians as requested.

Implements standard trade practices consistent with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Performs basic trouble-shooting and repairs on all types of industrial equipment.

Works on multiple mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.

Implements standard trade practices and procedures coexistent with proper safety precautions, to produce quality workmanship.

• Must read and interpret blueprints, schematics of electrical systems.
• Must be an excellent troubleshooter.
• Must have knowledge of test equipment for electrical systems.
• Experience with PLC's and VFD's.
• Perform various other duties and special projects as needed
• Electrician with experience, training and technical knowledge to plan, installs, repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems of 480 volts or lower voltage in an industrial setting.
• Responsible for safely performing emergency and preventative repairs to plant facility equipment.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair VFD's.
• Knowledge of Building Automation Systems

Qualifications:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•  High school graduate or equivalent required. 
• Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
•  3 to 5 years of related experience and technical training in specialized areas of industrial or commercial electrical work preferred.
