Field Service Engineer
Our client in the data center/power space is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support onsite operations.
Pay: $40–$60/hr (DOE)
What You’ll Do:
· Perform installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of low voltage power distribution equipment (switchgear, transformers, etc.)
· Prepare technical reports and maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts
· Follow all site and company safety protocols
· Interface with Project Managers and site teams
· Attend site meetings and provide updates
· Deliver strong customer service and escalate issues as needed
Job Requirements
Requirements:
· OSHA 10 required
· Background as a qualified electrician or equivalent hands-on electrical field experience
· Experience with electrical testing and commissioning
· Associate’s degree in electrical power distribution (or related) or 2+ years of relevant experience
· Experience with power distribution systems, AC/DC power, and monitoring systems
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
· Experience using testing equipment (multimeters, current meters, etc.)
Preferred:
· Familiarity with UL standards (UL67, UL1008, UL891, etc.)
· Data center or mission-critical environment experience
