Pay: $63.94- $112.02 per hour DOE
HKA Enterprises is seeking a Facilities Site-Lead Senior Engineer to support semiconductor manufacturing operations at a client site in Wilton, CT. This role serves as the owner’s representative for capital improvement projects and leads a multidisciplinary on-site engineering team supporting sustaining operations and capital execution.
The successful candidate will manage mechanical and process facilities systems across a complex manufacturing environment, overseeing planning, design, procurement, construction, and turnover activities. This position plays a critical role in sustaining operations, executing capital projects, and transferring technical knowledge to the client’s internal engineering organization.
This is a 100% onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity in Wilton, CT.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as site lead and owner’s representative for facilities capital projects
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of 5–6 engineers and designers
Oversee planning, execution, and closeout of capital improvement projects
Provide daily engineering support to maintenance teams and vendors
Deliver projects from concept through construction and turnover
Develop and review Basis of Design (BOD), Scope of Work (SOW), specifications, and construction documents
Oversee QA/QC for mechanical and process facilities systems
Support retrofit and new installation projects
Mentor client engineering staff and support integration into reliability and engineering standards programs
Coordinate closely with contractors, vendors, and on-site personnel
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (ABET accredited)
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Connecticut or ability to obtain within 3 months (active NCEES record)
15+ years of experience in mechanical and process facilities engineering
Strong knowledge of ASME, ASME B31.3, SEMI, NFPA, IBC/IMC, CT amendments, and ASHRAE standards
Experience with HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, waste systems, gas distribution, and pure water systems
Experience reviewing vendor submittals and supporting construction activities
Field experience working with subcontractors and construction personnel
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience with design deliverables such as P&IDs, PFDs, details, and equipment plans
Preferred
5+ years of experience as a facilities engineer
Experience with maintenance & reliability, utilities & infrastructure design, capital project engineering, and controls & automation
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, or BIM360
Location & Work Arrangement
Onsite position in Wilton, CT
Monday–Friday, standard business hours (some flexibility)
