Digital Design Engineer (Controls / FPGA)
Pay: $57.00- $67.00 per hour DOE

Position Overview
We are seeking a Digital Design Engineer to serve as a Responsible Engineer for digital design projects within a structured engineering design and change management process. This role offers hands-on technical responsibility, formal mentorship, and exposure to regulated engineering environments.
The selected candidate will receive training through an established engineering mentor program to develop the knowledge, technical skills, and process expertise required to independently lead digital design efforts from concept through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Act as Responsible Engineer for assigned digital design projects.
Develop, document, and review digital designs in accordance with internal engineering and design control processes.
Lead and facilitate technical and stakeholder design reviews.
Prepare and manage engineering change documentation and technical approval packages.
Support approved engineering changes through implementation, testing, and closeout.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including controls, systems, manufacturing, and operations.
Ensure designs meet technical, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience or strong interest in digital design and controls systems.
Ability to work within formal engineering processes and documentation standards.
Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.
Willingness to learn, accept mentorship, and grow into increasing levels of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the controls or automation sector.
Exposure to or hands-on experience with FPGA technology.
Coursework, internships, or project experience involving digital logic, embedded systems, or hardware design.
Familiarity with engineering change management processes in regulated or industrial environments.
